Crete: Pottery Experience, Create Your Own Ceramic

During this 2 hour pottery experience in Crete, you will arrive at a fully equipped atelier surrounded by olive trees and breathtaking views of the Cretan mountains. The session begins with a short introduction to the space and an explanation of how clay transforms from raw material into a finished ceramic piece. You will learn the basic pottery techniques and choose between hand-building or working on your own personal pottery wheel. Each participant has their own wheel, and all materials, including prepared clay, are provided. With professional guidance, you will shape, form, and create your unique piece step by step in a supportive environment. After shaping your creation, it will need to dry for several days before the first firing at 1000°C. You may then choose to glaze your piece as an optional service not included in the price. Once fully fired, your ceramic can be collected from the atelier or shipped to your address at your own expense.
